Urologic Pathology Fellowship at Mount Sinai, NYC July 2010

The Departments of Pathology, Urology and Hematology-Oncology of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine seek a qualified candidate for a fellowship in urologic pathology. Responsibilities of the fellow are to create tissue microarrays of prostate cancer and other urologic cancers; processing of prostatectomy and other urologic specimens for tissue banking, assisting urologic pathologists in clinical processing, medical record review. Candidates should have background in processing of pathologic samples, general familiarity with research techniques such as tissue microarray, general familiarity with medical nomenclature and medical record review. The fellow will have an opportunity to partipate in research projects based upon tissue microarray, genomic and proteomic biomarkers, and other specimen-based translational research modalities.
