Please join Chinese American Pathologists Association (CAPA)

Chinese American Pathologists Association (CAPA) is the voice of the Chinese American pathologists practicing in US and Canada, pathologists in training as well as investigators in biomedical research. The organization was originally founded as Hua Tuo Society of Pathology (HTSP, 华佗病理学会) in March, 2003, in Washington, D.C., and the name was changed to the current one in February, 2006, in Atlanta. CAPA has over 300 members, including many nationally and internationally known pathologists. in North America and other parts of the world.

CAPA annoucement and news letter

Some of our CAPA members were not able to receive our annoucements and news letters by mass emailing. In order to receive those messages timely, the CAPA members are advised to take the following steps: 

1. Save "it<at>capath.org" as one of your contacts.

2. Check the junck, jam or other spam preventive/collecting folder of  your mail box. Our message may have been mis-recognized as one of them. We strike hard to avoid such a situation, however, some servers are known for over-reacting in this matter. Hotmail is one of them.

3. Please note that you have an option of opt out being on our mail list.  However, please do periodically visit our email archive (http://www.capaht.org/dadamail/mail.cgi?flavor=archive;list=member2010) or website (http://capaht.org). We would like to connect with you closely.

09/03/22: CAPA Fund for Sichuan Earthquake Relief: Conclusion

Conclusion of CAPA fund-raising for donation to the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake Relief

 

On May 14, 2008, we initiated a fund-raising to help with the Sichuan Earthquake Relief (http://www.capa-ht.org/Announcement/Fund08.mht).  Our members and their friends responded overwhelmingly.  A total of $17,050 was received.  After discussion among the organizers, a decision was made to send the lump sum to The Red Cross Society of China, designated to: 2008 Sichuan Earthquake Relief.

The preliminary program of 3rd Fudan-MDACC Diagnostic Pathology Symposium (第三届复旦-MDACC诊断病理新进展研讨会) is now available for registration online www.shcapathology.com.  If you plan to visit China this summer, you may want to take the advantage of this program since it will give you an official business reason to travel there.  This year’s meeting has been scheduled in June to coordinate with the summer school break in North America so that your family members can travel with you.
